Azerbaijani journalists assaulted in Baku
Two ATV channel correspondants were physically assaulted this morning in the military commissariat of Baku’s Yasamal district, Turan reported.
TV informed Turan that reporter Zaur Zahidoglu (Huseynov) and cameraman Ramin Shakhbazau both sustained serious injuries.
According to colleagues, the two were preparing a report concerning the summer draft. However, for some unknown reason, the journalists were brutally beaten by officers. The Military Prosecutor's Office confirmed this fact, but refused to comment on it.
