The criminal case concerning the June 29 shooting of Ilkin Gakhramanova, Elvina Aliev, and Musaev Asif by their colleague, National Army soldier Jafar Mamedrzaevym, continues, Turan informs.

According to the source, duty violations were at the root of the killings. After shooting his colleagues, Mamedrzaev shot himself.

Over the last year, several similar cases have occurred within the National Army, resulting in the killing or wounding of about two dozen people. The most severe case occurred on February 28 in the Dashkensanskom area, when two soldiers shot eight officers, including the unit commander, and then shot themselves. As always, the Defense Ministry pledged to make public the reasons behind the tragedy, but this was not done.
