Armenian Prime Minister Tigran Sargsyan received today the UNDP Europe and CIS countries regional bureau deputy director, director of the Bratislava UNDP regional center Jens Wandel.

Jens Wandel said that the 2010-2015 action plan signed between the Armenian government and the UNDP is best in the region in terms of quality, from the point of view of the vision of the increase of state management system in the country.

During the meeting the interlocutors referred to the process of macro-economic developments and prospects. Referring to the importance of equal development of the territories, Tigran Sargsyan pointed out that it is being carried out in two directions – strengthening of abilities of local self-governmental bodies and decentralization.

According to the government’s information department, the sides also discussed opportunities of reinforcing bilateral cooperation. The head of the government particularly highlighted the implementation of experience and methodology of UN experts in joint programs.
