Georgia seizes ship with grain cargo for Armenia
The coast guard of Georgia detained Ukrainian Akkord dry cargo ship, carrying wheat for Armenia on July 29, Interfax reported.
Тhe reason for detention was illegal entering the territorial waters of Abkhazia, the cargo was in Sukhum in June 2010. The ship was coming from Rostov-on-Don, there was a grain cargo on its board carried to Armenia.
The dry cargo ship was towed to the fine mooring in Georgian Poti. The Akkord crew-11 Ukrainian citizens and a Russian - were accused of violation of shipping rules in Georgian territorial waters. The case will be considered in the court in the coming days.
