Armenian-Italian business forum held July 31
Armenian-Italian business forum, organized by the Armenian Development Agency (ADA), was conducted July 31 in Armenia the goal of which is to promote the trade-economic relations and the investment perspectives between the two countries. According to ADA information department, a delegation from the Italian province of Trevisso arrived in Armenia, and business meetings were organized with Armenian businessmen within the framework of the visit.
The delegation comprised the coordinator of the “Trevisson for Armenia” project, representative of Manufacturers union, businessmen from wine making and tourism spheres.
Armenia’s business and investment environment, cooperation opportunities were presented during the forum.
General Director of ADA Robert Harutyunyan welcomed the guests and voiced hope that the conference will register results and achievements.
Coordinator of “Trevisso province for Armenia” Mario Bergamo noted that “well-known companies of the province have been invited and it is necessary to find common edges for cooperation.” He also referred to the fact that Armenia is homeland for wine making and expressed wish to visit the oldest wine factory in the world located in Noravank.
The trade turnover between Armenia and Italy made 120 million 949 thousand USD, including the import of $113 million 696 thousand and the export of $6 million 949 thousand. Currently 52 companies with Italian capital are functioning in Armenia.
