“I’m the best from all those Armenians ever attended New Wave”: Sona Shahgeldyan
“When I heard I won, I’ve cried. My mother, she also cried. That is great happiness and those were tears of happiness,” the winner of “New Wave 2010” Sona Shahgeldyan told Russian “Vesty” after it was unveiled she won the first prize.
To the reporter’s question how it could happen that no Armenian singer has ever won the contest, Sona answered: “My country is a good one and I love my country. But I’ve been the only best singer to the contest ever. They all sing well but I’m the best. I’ve felt that and I knew that. I wished I could win, and if you wish something very much you get it.”
Will Sona attend “Eurovision 2010”, she said it doesn’t matter for her, since in that European contest the singer performs only one song but here in “New wave” you sing three songs.
