Six Turks rape 17-year-old German girl on Turkish beach
A 17-year-old German girl has allegedly been sexually assaulted on a beach by six Turkish men while on holiday in the Turkish resort area of Antalya. Germany is shocked, the German Foreign Ministry interfered with the affair.
The incident, which has been widely covered by the German press, took place in the Side seaside town when six Turkish, 21-38, attacked the girl, who was walking around the hotel and raped her, according to foreign media reports.
The German girl and her mother have already returned home after they turned to the local law enforcement bodies and all the six men were arrested over rape charges. Two have been remanded in custody and four others have been released on bail pending trial.
According to some sources, the girl is from the northern state of Schleswig-Holstein, others say she is from Dusseldorf.
The judicial proceedings againt the alleged rapers has not been determined yet. Once they are found guilty, they will be facing long term in jail.
