Abdullah Gul: terrorism could be countered by mobilizing all resources
Turkey’s president on Tuesday said, terrorism could be countered by mobilizing all resources, not only by weapons, joining the hot debate.
An opposition party claimed that the government bargained with militant PKK that recently renewed its ceasefire.
According to Haberform new web site Turkey's President Abdullah Gul said that Turkish nation and state were fighting against terrorism with all their resources.
"What is important is to end terrorism and stop terrorism from being a threat against Turkey," Gul told reporters in Istanbul.
Gul said terrorism could be countered by mobilizing all resources, not only by weapons.
"Diplomacy is used when the time comes, and armed forces or security forces can intervene, or some other elements are mobilized to win our people in regions facing terrorism when the time comes," the president said.
