Turkish media: Jivan Gasparyan’s concert declined because of Armenian-Turkish ties
Turkish mass media has widely covered the decline of renowned Armenian duduk player Jivan Gasparyan’s concert in Turkey. Legendary Armenian dudk player was supposed to have a concert with Turkish musician Yavuz Bingyoli on 1 September, International Peace Day. It’s said that a famous folk song was supposed to be performed in Armenian and Turkish.
According to Turkish “Posta” agency “Istanbul 2010 European culture capital” declined the concert without any arguments. The source reports it’s believed the concert has been declined because of the withdrawn in Armenian-Turkish ties.
Jivan Gasparyan and Yavuz Bingyol have taken the same stage four times.
