D. Babayan: Co-chairs’ statement should have been more exact
“The co-chairs’ statement had two main messages: first is that violations of ceasefire by Azerbaijan have become frequent. Though not directly, the co-chairs accuse the Azerbaijani party, but this indirect way poses danger, since the aggressor is suppressed if only he meets a consolidated approach,” spokesman for Artsakh Republic President David Babayan told a panorama.am correspondent commenting upon the statement issued by the Minsk Group Co-chairs.
According to Artsakh official, the co-chairs seek to retain balance, not to aggravate the situation since after their statement Azerbaijan would raise hysteria, would reconsider its participation in the format.
“On the other hand, Azerbaijan is constantly making statements on changing the format of talks, on creating a special group in UN. It is a new tendency; thus Azerbaijan tries to push forward its unconstructive policy,” Babayan said.
In his opinion, nevertheless, co-chairs’ statement should have been more exact.
