Serviceman killed in Azerbaijani military unit
An incident occurred in Azerbaijan’s armed forces. A soldier killed his fellow serviceman as a result of violation of rules of arms handling, Trend News Agency reported.
Serviceman Amil Kerimov doing his military service in a military unit near Aghdam fired at his fellow serviceman Rufat Samedov due to incautious arms handling, and killed him.
Deputy spokesman for Azerbaijani Defense Ministry Teymur Abdullayev confirmed the fact.
However, one cannot rule out that the serviceman was killed in a firing and not due to incautious arms handling. Firing in military units is common in Azerbaijan.
