RA President: In a few years we’ll double or triple Armenian-Ukrainian goods turnover
Cooperation with Ukraine is of top priority in all fields – economy, politics, humanitarian relations, President Serzh Sargsyan told Ukrainian “Profile” speaking about intensifying the bilateral ties.
“Our relations aren’t counted in a century. We’ve been always yarned and today, we do want to fill that gap. In the first years of acquiring independence we had good ties with Ukraine. Then we had fewer and fewer meetings. I’m glad we develop our ties,” President said.
President expressed confidence that they would manage at least double or triple the bilateral goods turnover and of course, cooperation in the humanitarian fields.
“We have a good figure even now but I’m approaching the point of possibilities. If we have $300 million goods turnover, we have more powerful potential.
Some Ukrainian products which could have success in the Armenian market and Armenians in the Ukrainian market aren’t available. We don’t much work on that even. Intergovernmental committee has rare meetings. Our businessmen don’t communicate, since we haven’t created necessary political atmosphere for them,” President said.
