George Michael tears to be unjailed
George Michael's legal team are set to launch an appeal requesting he is released from prison today.
The 47-year-old singer was jailed on Tuesday after he pleaded guilty to possessing cannabis and driving under the influence of drink or drugs.
He was visibly shocked when the judge sentenced him to eight weeks in prison, and reportedly burst into tears as soon as he was locked in the holding cell at London's Highbury Corner Magistrates' Court.
He was later transferred to Pentonville prison, where he was put in the Vulnerable Prisoners Unit for his own safety.
George is said to be finding life inside hard, and has been taunted by other inmates.
