"Native of Eurasia" wins first prize in 19th Kinoshock-2010 Open Film Festival
The 19th Kinoshock-2010 Open Film Festival of CIS countries and the Baltic closed on September 19 in Anapa. The festival got underway on September 12.
The program this year included competitions for feature films, shorts, television programs and children’s programs. Two Armenian films were nominated: “Don’t Look in the Mirror” by Souren Babayan and “The Great Holiday” by Vahe Gevorkiants.
Don’t Look in the Mirror is nominated for the feature-length film contest while Vahe Gevorkiants’ film will be screened within the Shock’s Borders nomination.
"Native of Eurasia" by Lithuanian director Šarūnas Bartas took prize for feature-length film, while an Estonian director won short film award.
In joint CIS - the Baltic countries project nomination first was “Parajanov” project (Russia-Armenia-Ukraine).
