Turkish Minister of Culture: Offering collective namaz in Ani Ruins is anti-constitutional
Turkish Minister of Culture and Tourism Ertuğrul Günay told reporters that the decision of leader of Nationalist Movement Party Devlet Bahçeli to offer collective namaz in Ani Ruins with heads of several dozens of provincial organizations on October 1 is anti-constitutional.
According to Habergec, the Minister said: “Similar collective action can be anti-constitutional. While Bahçeli personally could offer namaz in a clean place.”
Note that Bahçeli declared that in response to the Mass offered in the Surb Khach Church on Aghtamar Island they are going to offer namaz on Friday in Ani Ruins.
