"Golden Apricot" has new Honored President
Levon Sargsyan, the President of “Pyunik” Charity Fund, has been appointed as new Honored President of “Golden Apricot” Yerevan International film Festival, the Director of the festival Harutyun Khachatryan told reporters today.
“We have cooperated with “Pyunik” Fund and as the cooperation runs successfully, we decided to unify our efforts and work together. It is ready to carry this burden with us,” H. Khaachatryan said.
L. Sargsyan, who was present at the press conference as well, said he was surprised and "greatly honored” to be appointed as Honored President of the festival. “Golden Apricot” is not only a festival, but also a serious diplomatic work. Armenia is a small country and the festival can contribute to its recognition. We must work,” he said.
Vardan Oskanyan has been the First Honored President of the festival.
