Way of acting typical to terrorists: MFA responds to Armenian youth's death in Azerbaijan
What is the response of the Armenian Ministry of Foreign Affairs to the “offense against” the Armenian citizen Manvel Saribekyan committed in Azerbaijan? - Armenian Foreign Minister Edward Nalbandian was asked during National Assembly – Parliament question-and-answer session today.
Minister Nalbandian expressed condolences to Manvel Saribekyan’s family and relatives, adding: “The kidnapping of the young shepherd, making him speak obvious nonsense on TV through violence, and then killing him is terrible both in terms of the act and the degree of cynicism with which it was reported to the public.
This way of acting is typical to terrorists: first abase a captive before a camera, then kill him. Murderers of asleep people with an axe, killers of captives, and those annihilating cultural heritage are speaking about human rights at the UN, perhaps this word means something else to them. Of course, one can understand that issues cannot be solved through these medieval methods and that violence is a sign of weakness.”
A joint statement from the Azerbaijani Defence Ministry and Military Republican Prosecutor's Office said Tuesday Armenian citizen Manvel Saribekyan committed suicide.
Remind that on September 12 Azerbaijan spread information stating that from northern-eastern sector of Artsakh (the same sector, in the direction of which Azerbaijan carried out subversive activities on July 18, August 31 and September 4 this year), Armenians penetrated into territories under Azerbaijan’s control on September 11 and attempted sabotage. Azerbaijan said the Armenian side failed the sabotage, and they have taken Manvel Mamikoni Saribekyan a hostage.
