 Peoples of Iran and Armenia are the ancestors of the same religion and have deep historical roots. The ties between Armenia and Iran, as well as between sister countries Esfahan and Yerevan may serve as a wonderful example for the rest regional countries. And I’m sure our friendly ties will live as long as the centuries-old friendship of ours, Gholamreza Shiran, the consultant of Esfahan governor told Panorama.am.

The Iranian diplomat arrived in Yerevan to attend Erebuni-Yerevan festive events.     

“Esfahan has numerous sister cities, but Yerevan is different, since you have heroic story which we’ve studied and learned from our Iranian Armenian brothers, and I’m happy I’m here to attend this event. Our cooperation will certainly contribute to the development of political, economic and cultural ties,” Mr. Shiran said.

“The Iranian Armenians next to their Moslem brothers reconstruct, restore our country and develop new projects.”
