Armenian-Turkish friendship group established
Leader of “Strong Turkey” Party (GTP) Tuna Beklevic announced that Armenian-Turkish friendship group has been established a year after Armenia and Turkey signed the protocols. The group, uniting 500 Armenian and Turkish youths, aims at promoting the Armenian-Turkish normalization process.
“We decided to establish the group still 6 months ago. We think both societies need this, so we felt determined to call the plan to life. We left for Yerevan with the Turkish Foreign Ministry official Baybars Orsek and had meetings with the heads of over 40 NGOs there. Following the visit, the group has been formed,” Habergec news website quoted Beklevic as saying.
