Turkish delegation arrives in Yerevan
Today, Armenia's Prosecutor General Aghvan Hovsepyan had a private meeting with the public prosecutors of the Court of Cassation of Turkey Ahmet Tasyurt and Omar Yanar. The fifth plenary session of the Consultative Council of the European Prosecutors kicked off in Yerevan today. Turkish delegation failed to attend the meeting as they had vowed they couldn’t reach Yerevan due to technical problems and pledged to attend the following ones.
According to the press service of RA prosecutor general’s office, during the meeting they signified the cooperation in the struggle against the criminality and the establishment of good relations between our countries. A. Hovsepyan hoped that the direct personal contacts would contribute to the development of cooperation between the two countries.
A. Hovsepyan also had a meeting with Harald Range, the prosecutor of Celle, the Federal Republic of Germany during which issues of cooperation were discussed.
The delegates of Germany and Turkey have come to Armenia to participate in the 5th Plenary Meeting of the Consultative Council of European Prosecutors held in Yerevan from 19 to 21 October.
