EuroNews to air programs on Tatev Monastery, aerial tramway
The Tatev rope way, the longest in the world tourism map, essentially increases tourism attraction in Armenia, Armenian Prime Minister Tigran Sargsyan said today at the session of the government. According to him, the Tatev restoration initiative is one of the biggest programs carried out as a result of cooperation of the government and private sector.
“On behalf of the Armenian government I want to thank our partners from the private sector who during those years cooperated with the government for the implementation of the program, making the Tatev Revival Project a reality” the Armenian Prime Minister Tigran Sargsyan said today at the session of the government.
According to him, the longest aerial tramway now exists on the tourism map of the world, which, naturally, raises Armenia’s tourist attractiveness. The program is being carried out by the National Competitiveness Council with the direct control of the RA president. Tigran Sargsyan noted with delight that it was greatly thanks to the efforts of the Armenian Apostolic Church that it became possible to raise funds and realize the Tatev Revival Project.
EuroNews will air programs dedicated to the opening of the Tatev monastery complex and the tramway exploitation.
“So, both the government and the private sector carried out serious and wide-scale work. I particularly want to mention Ruben Vardanyan, who had his personal contribution to the implementation of the program. I do believe that this should be contagious for the private sector to implement large-scale projects in cooperation with the government,” the prime minister said, adding that the government is planning several such projects in near future.
