77-year-old woman raped in Azerbaijan
On November 2, Dashkesan region police department received an emergency from Emirvar village resident Shola Aliyeva (b. 1933). The 77-year-old claimed she was beaten down and raped. According to the police, the incident took place on October 28, Vesti.az reported.
Aliyeva said, she was assaulted by a young man, while picking berries in the forest. According to her, the youth punched her with a stone on the back, and then raped her.
An investigation based on Aliyeva's complaint has been launched. Forensic examination of the results is also necessary, to decide whether a criminal case needs to be launched. Police department also said, that the woman is reportedly mentally unstable.
