Azerbaijan’s electoral tools threaten both independent and opposition candidates
Independent candidate to the Azerbaijani elections of Yasamal electoral region Nehmat Panakhli withdrew his nomination, “Turan” agency reported.
“I’ve withdrawn on October 30 since I was told the authorities are intended to assign their own candidate,” Panakhli said.
According to the source, the former candidate told about a movement against the national unity and said: “The reality is that we don’t have a political party in Azerbaijan, we have betrayers’ party.”
The former candidate asked President Ilham Aliyev to stop the pressures over his family, since “it’s not bravely done.”
