Anti-Armenian films are supported by Azerbaijani and Turkish states
Our neighbors Azerbaijan and Turkey support films where Armenians are nomads, invaders, treacherous and bloody terrorists, cultural thieves, the Nazis. Some of those films are presented in Azerbaijani and Turkish schools.
Today “Heritage” NGO prepared the presentation of some of those films. The founder of the NGO Karen Vrtanesyan told the reporters that the mission of the presentation is to tell Armenian youth and those interested in this issue, how Armenians are demonstrated in Azerbaijani and Turkish films and how they root image of ours.
“With cosmetic intervention the image of the enemy will not disappear, and in stead, new problems will occur,” referring to another initiative of holding festival of Azerbaijani films in Yerevan, K. Vrtanesyan said. The NGO committed surveys and found out that both countries support hundreds of different films making intensified anti-Armenian propaganda.
Teqeyan center hosted the presentation of some of those films. The first one a cartoon called “Djavanshir.” The cartoon tells that an Armenian killed Djavanshir’s parents, who grows up, becomes a soldier and blasts an Armenian tank. The cartoon ends with Djavanshir’s words: “why should we be scared of Armenians?”
Another film was produced previous year called “Azerbaijan is Karabagh.” “If you’re Armenian or evil, you should know Karabagh is Azerbaijan, and khan is in your country – Yerevan. We’ll get Zangezur and be over with it. Armenians are invaders and have created their country on our lands,” these are quotes from the film.
A film tells about Armenian plagiarism. An Armenian singer comes to an Azeri monk and tells she has stolen Azerbaijani song. And the most interesting fact is that almost all the actors speak clear Armenian.
“Film maker should produce qualified movies to please the watchers,” K. Vrtanesyan said.
