Facts about “Nairit”: What they lost and what they look for
The general manager of “Nairit factory” CSJC Vahan Melkonyan declared Friday during the demonstration held by the company’s employers being deprived of their monthly salaries at President’s Residence that 99% of the product is exported.
“In fact, the factory produces 99% of its products for export. The majority of our products are exported,” this is directly cited from Vahan Melkonyan’s answer.
Whereas, in response to Panorama.am story – “V. Melkonyan: “Nairit” seems to warm Yerevan’s air than give any product”, company’s PR and mass media service delivered a statement, which, by the way, respectable “Azg” daily publishes, that company’s director declared 97% of the products are exported. The demonstration has been attended and covered by different media outlets, and it may happen that Melkonyan told different figures to other reporters, but Panorama.am based on data provided by the director. You can have the recording here. Having received the statement, we’ve posted the recording of V. Melkonyan’s answers on the website, but company made no adjustments.
By the way, figures seem to be badly managed in “Nairit.” After our first publication – “Nairit employers protest” the company’s service released another statement recommending media not to tense the situation and even accused for inaccurate stories.
The head of company’s press service accused Panorama.am of reporting that a debt of 3-4 months salary accumulated/while we haven’t even reported any figure/ and cried at our reporter that they have debt of 2 months. While on Friday V. Melkonyan told media representatives that they have accumulated debts of 3-4 months.
Dear Nairit, you have declared that there isn’t anything definite in your company, thus we highly recommend not to hurry and not to make inaccurate statements. Finally, we cover the words of company’s employers who haven’t got salaries, the director, who told “he was called by president’s administration”, and the representative’s words who makes indefinite statements. Referring to the figures reported by the company’s statement, it’s obvious from the publication’s context that 40% of efficiency concerns energy expenses.
More facts about the figures: during the protest action held yesterday, while the director was telling the salary amount, some employers from the company protested and unveiled the real amount of their salary. “There is no such thing, you presumably lie,” Melkonyan declared.
