What will get Bregovic from Armenia? Question of time
World wide famous Serb composer Goran Bregovic says he got acquainted with Armenian music a couple of days ago before arriving in Yerevan, thus he can’t have any opinion. “Your country is also a regional one and it can have great impact on folk music,” the musician told reporters at news conference in Yerevan. He said he didn’t even drink Armenian brandy but would drink surely.
Bregovic promised a good lush for Armenian audience during his concert at sport&concert complex after K. Demirchyan. He’s going to perform several favorite songs Gas-Gas, Maki, Maki, Kalasnikov, Ederlezi, Mesecina, and Yerevan concert is called “Alcohol.”
Is it possible that under Yerevan impressions a new song is born? “Music isn’t infectious disease, it’s like AIDS, it needs time. If you hope I can get anything from Armenia, you should wait, cause time is needed.”
Bregovic said he composed for his friendship with renowned film maker Emir Kusturica: “Working for films is really a hard job, but life is short and now I think I must get concentrated at one thing.”
The concert is organized in the framework of “Yerevan perspectives” 11th international music festival.
