Armenian ICT private sector conquers Georgian market
Armenian ICT companies had much success in the ICT Development and Cyber Security Event GITI 2010 held between November 10 and 12 in Tbilisi, Georgia. The Armenian delegation included 13 Armenian ICT companies led by the Union of Information Technologies Enterprises. Members of the delegation shared their impressions and told about their achievements at a press conference in Yerevan.
Armenian ICT private sector was represented by Arminco, iDram, Spyur, Lime Tech, CHS Vericel Service, Universal Systems, Shirakinfo, SPMS, X-Tech, Essential Solutions, Actrade Soft companies and state sector by the Office of Introduction of Electronic Management Infrastructures.
Managing Adviser at the Union of Information Technologies Enterprises, UITE Expo Director Vahan Hovsepyan said that representatives of the Georgian Armenian community, Embassy of Armenia in Georgia visited the Armenian pavilion and offered cooperation.
The Armenian delegation won awards in 14 out of 5 nominations in GITI 2010. X-TECH won Best Multimedia Solution award for DIGITEC EXPO 2010 multimedia CD featuring all companies participating in GITI 2010, information concerning them. LimeTech won the Best Integrator of the Year award. It presented State Revenue Committee information pavilion having many innovations. iDram company won Best Complex Business Solution award, EKENG company Best IT Project Offer award, Essential Solution company Best B2B Solution award.
UITE Expo Director Vahan Hovsepyan said that Armenian companies winning awards in 4 out of 6 nominations in the private sector showed Armenian ICT private sector’s potential and eSignature and Mobile ID solution of EKENG company, the only representative of state sector, won international jury prize.
Note that the Armenian delegation was co-funded by D-Link, USAID/Caps, USAID/RCI. USAID/Caps also provided special advisory services while dealing with target consumers.
