 In the 8th round of World Youth U16 Olympiad which is held in Turkish city of Burdur Armenian team defeated Turkmenistan A in 2,5:1,5 scores. Hovhannes Gabuzyan defeated Rustem Nazarov, David Shahinyan defeated Safarmurat Atabayev; Karen H. Grigoryan ended in draw with Maksat Atabayev, and Robert Agasaryan lost his game to Yusup Atabayev.

After the 8th round, the team of Armenia scored 25,5 and leads the Olympiad. “Turkey-Red” and team of India scored 20,5; teams of Belarus, Turkmenistan A and Syria have 18, Team of Uzbekistan has 17,5 and teams of Portugal and Slovenia have 17 points.

In the 9th round Armenian team will meet with team of Syria.
