Turkish citizen of Armenian origin may become Nobel Prize laureate
“Ermenihaber.am” news web site reports referring to “Bloomberg” agency that Daron Acemoglu, Istanbul citizen of Armenian origin, who is included in the list of top 20 economists, may become Nobel Prize laureate.
The news made Turkish media feel inspired. Acemoglu was born in Istanbul and is a citizen of Turkey. In 1992-93 he was professor of London School of Economics, since 1993 he’s a professor of the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
Included in the list of top 100 thinkers Acemoglu has serious achievements in economics and is laureate of many awards.
