Zaman. Kurds plan to fight for freedom of Armenians in Turkey
Ahmet Turk, the co-chairperson of the pro-Kurdish Democratic Society Congress, or DTK expressed his concerns towards the Turkish authorities in a meeting at Turkish state of Mardini. The politician pointed that the local authorities do nothing to guarantee the peaceful coexistence of Kurds in the sidelines of democracy.
“No project on resolution of Kurdish issue was developed. Today, blood is shed. We want to stop the bloodshed. It’s more important to stop it and establish peace than the elections,” Ahmet Turk said.
He also said they would be fighting for freedom of Armenians, Arabs and Assyrians in Turkey.
It’s worth reminding that Ahmet Turk’s party was wrapped up by the decision of Constitutional Court and the head of the party was banned to get involved in politics for 5 years.
