“Wild capitalism” rules Azerbaijan
A conference on human rights situation took place in Azerbaijan yesterday, which was attended by diplomats, experts, politicians. According to the reports the situation in Azerbaijan is extremely tensed as human rights are always violated in that country, Turan news agency writes.
Representative of “Musavat” party Arig Gajili stated that parliamentary elections of November 7 are evident that human rights situation in Azerbaijan is in a critical phase.
Azer Mekhtiev, the head of the center for economic reforms, said Azerbaijan is in “wild capitalism” phase, when the officials take whatever they want from people and they are not punished. “In a country where there aren’t free elections, there can’t be right of property,” he said,
The participants of the conference were concerned about the disposition and remarks of the international community, foreign embassies, Council of Europe and OSCE.
