Commenting on yesterday’s media reports that the U.S. citizen named Hall Talayan illegally crossed the Armenian-Iranian border, head of the National Security Service press center Artsvin Bagramian said that a person with such name did not enter and thus neither left Armenia.
On January 6 some media had spread information about the arrest of the 55 years old US citizen Hall Talayan.

The Associated press informed that the woman was arrested being suspected in spying. On its turn the Chinese “Sinkhua” agency referring to the Iranian powers had told that Hall Talayan was arrested while arriving in Iran from neighboring Armenia without a visa. After being arrested spying equipment or a microphone was found with her.

“France Press” agency informs that according to “Al, Alam” TV channel the US citizen has been sent back to Armenia. The TV channel has also mentioned that the woman couldn’t enter the country because of not having visa.

It is also worth mentioning that despite the active spread of the information there is no official comment about the incident from the side of Iran and America.
