Concerts in Moscow and Krasnodar dedicated to Georgi Garanian
Moscow hosts a jazz concert today to commemorate famous saxophonist Georgi Garanian, who passed away on January 11, 2010. Russian media report that famous jazz bands and performers are invited to take the stage, including Big-band founded by Garanian himself.
It’s reported that Krasnodar will also host a concert dedicated to G. Garanian.
Garanian is not only famous for his perfect performances, but for having created wonderful music for dozens of films, including “Evening labyrinth” and “Pokrovski gates”.
In 1993 Armenian musician was honored Russia’s people’s artist title.
