Economic Freedom Index: Armenia ranked the 36th
Heritage Foundation and Wall Street Journal published Index of Economic Freedom. According to the index results in 2010 Armenia’s economy has improved its positions compared with the previous years.
Among 183 countries, Armenia is ranked the 36th (growth by 0.5 points up to 69.7 points – 36th place) and is titled “moderate free.”
Economic freedom is better demonstrated in Georgia among the regional states. Georgia is ranked the 29th, and Azerbaijan the 92nd.
World leaders are Hong Kong and Singapore, followed by Australia, New Zealand, and Switzerland. Canada, Denmark, Ireland, USA are in top ten.
