Erdogan approved the statue has “ugly look”
Turkish PM Recep Erdogan, who is currently paying visit to Qatar, referred to so much spoken topic of Statue of Peace erected in the city of Kars. To the journalist’s question if saying “ugly look” Erdogan meant the statue, Turkish PM nodded positively.
According to “CnnTurk” Erdogan said it would be unacceptable to allow that huge statue to shadow Seyid Hasan El Haraqan’s mausoleum and mosque.
The statue having 35m height is authored by Turkish sculpture Mehmet Aksoi. It’s to symbolize peace and particularly, Armenian-Turkish relations.
