Istanbul security service owned document for Dink’s murder threat
A document of vital significance has been unveiled which says that the intelligence officers of Istanbul knew beforehand that editor-in-chief of “Agos” daily Hrant Dink’s life was under threat. They knew about it, but they did nothing to guarantee Dink’s security, “Ermenihaber.am” news web site writes.
On 2 March, 2004, deputy secretary of Istanbul based intelligence office Haqan Aydin Turkeli signed a document which particularly said that an unidentified man was calling “Agos” office and threatening to murder Hrant Dink, hence special intelligence officers were to be attached to the office and Dink’s family.
The same document is covered in Nedim Sheneri’s “Bloody Friday: Who broke Dink’s ink?” book, where the journalistic investigation unveils details to the crime.
Earlier, Istanbul security department sent a document to court saying “they owned no document over Dink’s murder threat.”
