Who was the officer 500m far from Dink’s murderer?
A book covering important investigative discoveries over Hrant Dink’s murder is supposed to be published today in Istanbul. The book titled “An Armenian – Investigation of Hrant Dink’s murder” has been authored by Adem Yavuz Arslan, writer for Bugün journal and Ankara’s representative.
“İhlas son dakikia” news web site writes that among vital discoveries, there exists an interesting moment of Trapizon gendarmerie officer Satilmish Shahin. Arslan writes that Shahin is directly connected to the case, he knows quite well those who are involved in Dink’s assassination.
It’s believed that Shahin arrived in Istanbul on the eve of Dink’s murder, and Dink’s assassinator – Ogun Samast also arrived in Istanbul on the same day. They found place to reside in the same block being 500m far from each other.
It’s worth reminding that the editor-in-chief of “Agos” daily Hrant Dink, who has Armenian roots, was murdered on January 19, 2007, just in front of his office. Ogun Samast, who was a teenager then, is accused for the murder.
