Ayatollah Jafar Sobhani criticized Ilham Aliyev for ban on hijab
Grand Shia Cleric, Ayatollah Jafar Sobhani, in a letter to Azeri president announced that preventing girls with Islamic Hijab from high schools is a breach of the Human Rights and it is against law of God.
Iranian top cleric, Ayatollah Jafar Sobhani in a letter to Azerbaijan's president Ilham Aliev severely criticized the country's minister of Education for the ban on Hijab for high school students.
"Previously I thanked you for your measure to protect Fatima Zahra (AS) mosque; though it is high time I reminded you that the ban on Hijab is against the Human Rights and Divine Law." said Grand Ayatollah.
Still another part of this letter reads," Your government belongs to a world where the 26th article of the Human Rights about the right of education says" Everyone has the right to education. Education shall be free, at least in the elementary and fundamental stages. Elementary education shall be compulsory. Technical and professional education shall be made generally available and higher education shall be equally accessible to all on the basis of merit."
