Grigol Vashadze: Georgia for peaceful settlement of Nagorno-Karabakh conflict
Georgian Foreign Minister Grigol Vashadze made his remarks over Nagorno-Karabakh conflict in his interview with Azerbaijani “Ans press” TV station. According to him Georgia has active role in Azerbaijani-Armenian dialogue, since the country is for the peaceful resolution of the conflict.
“We need a unity in Southern Caucasus, we should think of the economic development of the regional states and integration into the European organizations. I can speak on behalf of Georgian people, we hope that mediated by OSCE Minsk Group or some other international organization, the conflict will be settled,” Georgian FM said adding that Georgia is ready to have certain role in the process.
“We would like all three South Caucasus states to be involved in projects of mutual interest, in order the region becomes a zone peace and cooperation. To tell the truth, all the countries have lost much time, but the reality is that the conflict should be settled based on the norms of the international law,” Georgian FM said.
