Freedom of media endangered in Turkey
Journalists’ Union of Turkey (TGC) condemned in a written statement the attacks against Adem Yavuz Arslan who authored a book unveiling facts over Hrant Dink’s assassination. The statement says that it’s big shame and dishonor for freedom of press of Turkey to threaten Arslan.
According to “Sondakika” news agency the statement reads: “We call on the authorities to find Arslan’s attackers. We remind that people’s right to get true and impartial information and freedom of press in Turkey should be defended.”
It’s worth reminding that Yavuz Arslan received a parcel in these days where he found a gun with three cartridges and a white cap. In 2007 Dink’s murderer gunned three cartridges and was wearing a white cap.
