Turkey officially denies news on radiation flow from Metsamor power station
Previous week Turkish media outlets were shocked to declare that Armenia’s atomic p0ower station of Metsamor poisoned people of eastern regions because of radiation flow. Turkish “Sabah” daily writes that expert from Turkey’s atomic energy council (TAEK) officially denied the information which created unnecessary panic.
TAEK President Zafer Alper said: “we haven’t recorded flow of radiation. The news is false.” He said they have special detectors in Igdir which keep the situation under control.
