Unrest in Tunisia and Egypt postponed Hillary Clinton’s visit to Turkey
U.S. Secretary of State Hillary Clinton was going to pay a visit to Turkey if massive protests and alarming unrest were not ruling in Tunisia and Egypt. According to the preliminary schedule, Ms. Clinton should have traveled to Turkey in the second week of February, but the visit is postponed, “Milliyet” writes.
Ms. Clinton should have meetings with President of Turkey, Prime Minister and Foreign Affairs Minister. The trip was to target tensed US-Turkish relations. The highlights of the meetings were Iran’s nuclear project, Turkish-Israeli relations, developments in Middle East, issues relations to Armenia, Kurdish conflict and Cypriot conflict.
