Armenian Church in Turkey will become a library
An Armenian Church located in a Kurdish block of Turkish city of Bayandur will be reconstructed.
According to “Ermenihaber.am” news web site the Municipality of Bayandur plans to kick off the reconstruction of the church in May-June and finish it up to 2012.
Mehmet Kertis, the Mayor of Bayandur, said the church was being reconstructed to carry another functions. “To protect the Armenian Church and to keep it for the coming generations we think it should become a multifunctional hall and a library.”
