Turkish intelligence service secretary discussed Karabakh conflict issues in Baku
While the world was following political unrest in Egypt and Middle East, the chairman of Turkish National Intelligence Service (MIT) Haqan Fidan had a meeting in Baku with President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev and National Security Minister Gen. Eldar Mahmudov. Turkish “Tumhaberler” news website informs that Fidan conveyed President Gul’s message to their relatives and brothers.
It’s reported that the officials have been discussing Karabakh conflict, regional issues, Turkish-Azerbaijani strategic and energy cooperation. Fidan declared that Karabakh conflict should be settled through dialogue and peace.
At the same time it was underscored that Turkey and Azerbaijan need support from each other to meet their energy problems.
