Armenian chess players at Aeroflot Open
GM Tigran L. Petrosian scored 5,5 points, GM Sergei Movsesian - 5, GM Avetik Grigoryan – 4,5, GM Krikor-Sevag Mekhitarian – 3,5 points out of 9 in the tournament A of the Aeroflot Open which was held in Moscow, Russia, “Armchess.am” informs.
GMs Le Quang Liem (Vietnam), Nikita Vitiugov and Evgeny Tomashevsky (Russia) scored 6,5 points each and shared the 1st-3rd places. Le Quang Liem became the winner of the tournament in the tie-break.
In the tournament B of the Aeroflot Open which was held in Moscow, Russia GM Tigran Kotanjian scored 7 points out of 9 and shared the 1st-3rd places with GMs Laylo Darwin (Philippines) and Nikolai Kabanov (Russia). Kotanjian took the first prize in the tie-break. FM Pogos Nakhapetiane was behind the winner with half a point. FM Ovik Hayrapetian scored 6, Hovhannes Gabuzyan, GMs Artur Gabrielian and Davit G. Petrosian - 5,5 points each.
Armenian chess players played excellently in the tournament C of the Aeroflot Open which was held in Moscow, Russia. David Shahinyan scored 8 points out of 9 and solely took the first prize. Tigran Simonian was only half a point behind the winner and took the 2nd prize. Eduard Barsamian took the 3rd place (7 points), Artur Gharagyozian – the 4th place (6,5 points).
