Istanbul court claimed Turkish Ministry for Domestic Affairs responsible in Dink’s assassination
Istanbul 10th Administrative Court declared that Turkish Ministry of Domestic Affairs was responsible for not guaranteeing security for “Agos” editor-in-chief and founder Hrant Dink and for not preventing his assassination, “Ermenihaber.am” news website writes.
According to Court decision Turkish Ministry of Domestic Affairs is deeply condemned for making toughest failure in their duties.
The case against the ministry was submitted to the court by Dink’s lawyers on behalf of Hrant’s brothers who demanded compensation from the Ministry.
“After being declared responsible by European Court of Human Rights, this decision, as well as the one to investigate 28 public officials, appears to have vital significance,” Dink’s lawyer Fethiye Cetin said.
