Joaquín Almunia. EU ready to support Armenia sharing experience and abilities
Prime Minister of Armenia Tigran Sargsyan headed a delegation to the European Commission where the Armenian delegation is expected to have meetings with the chairmen of different commissions.
Government’s information and PR department informed that PM Tigran Sargsyan had his first meeting with the Vice President of European Commission Joaquín Almunia. Armenian PM introduced the general situation of Armenia’s economy having particularly underscored the tax and customs fields. Referring to the competition issues Armenian PM informed about those institutes, committees that existed in Armenia having signified EU support to the further improvements.
Joaquín Almunia expressed his support to Armenia through consultations and implementation of different projects. He particularly stated that great experience was accumulated in telecommunications, energy and competition fields.
