A. Mamedli: Azerbaijani authorities unwilling to reveal Huseynov’s assassination case
Azerbaijani authorities haven’t still launched an investigation for Elmar Huseynov’s, editor-in-chief of “Monitor” paper, assassination, which is evident that official Baku has no intentions to reveal the case, Azerbaijani lawyer Alekser Mamedli told “Turan” news agency.
According to him it is of great important not only to reveal the killers, but also those standing behind them. Mamedli stated that citizens of Georgia Teimuraz Aliyev and Tair Khubanov are accused though having no connection to the case.
Soon after Huseynov’s assassination, Azerbaijani journalist Eynullah Fatullayev embarked on investigation and managed to unveil a senior official of Azerbaijan’s national security ministry who murdered Huseynov, and who has personally told it Fatullayev. Currently Eynullah Fatullayev is jailed.
