Yerevan to host ARMMONO Festival of Mono Performances
Yerevan will be hosting the Armmono 9th International Theater Festival of Mono Performances from April 3 to 9.
The festival will be opened by renowned German actor Philipp Hochmair with the performance “Verter,” Head of the Modern Art Department at the Ministry of Culture Sona Harutyunyan told reporters in Yerevan.
The festival will be held under the auspices of Armenian National Assembly Speaker Hovik Abrahamyan, with the support of the Armenian Ministry of Culture and the Armenian Union of Cultural Workers.
Director of the festival Marianna Mkhitaryan unveiled the list of the festival participants.
This year the festival program includes 17 performances, with actors from Russia, France, Germany, Israel, Lithuania, Egypt, and Armenia.
Armmono was first held on September 24, 2003. The festival has been founded by Chairman of the Armenian Union of Cultural Workers Hakob Ghazanchyan.
