Young activists in Azerbaijan are still arrested
Yesterday, on April 1, four persons in civilian clothes broke into Azerbaijan’s Democratic Party youth branch vice president Qyamal Huseynov’s and coordinator of the party’s affairs in Nizam region Orhan Huseynov’s apartments and raped as if taking them to police station.
“Turan” news agency reports that the party’s press service has informed they didn’t know where the young activists were. It turned out that the unidentified men have raped Orhan Huseynov’s wife, who was seriously shocked.
Activists of “Musavat” party are also being arrested. The police arrested party’s activist Bakhruz Mustafaev and journalist of “Belgiakhiabar” news website Jamil Mamedli.
